Hi! I'm Samantha and I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with my family. I am mom to 3 amazing kids, 3 silly pets, and fiancé to my high school sweetheart. I decided to start a blog because I enjoy writing with purpose and I want to pursue it more, while also sharing some of my stories and experiences with you along the way.
I was born and raised in Southern California. My mom dipped my toes into different pools of interest, which sparked creativity and motivated me to create career goals at a very young age. I love creating things, connecting with people, and promoting kindness.
I now live in Washington State- which in a lot of ways is totally different from California. First of all- sunshine. I went from sun-kissed tan skin to "girl, you need some color!" skin after settling in Washington. My sandy toes turned into cold and wet toes. Lemon trees turned into apple trees, and warm weather flowers turned into moss. Palm trees became green forests, mild winters became white winters, and my once small world became huge as I embarked on my new journey a thousand miles away from my childhood home.
My fiancé and I moved here with nothing but a couple of backpacks, our hopes and dreams, and our babe that I was newly pregnant with. With support from our family, we successfully found jobs, got our first car, and moved into our first apartment together before our son was born. I was 19 years old when I gave birth to our son, August Mareau. 3 years later, I gave birth to our rainbow baby, Natalie Eleanor. And 4 years after that, I gave birth to our tiniest babe, Phoebe Claire. I will write each individual birthing story in separate blog posts because each story is unique and different from the other (and way too long to put into this post!).
Fast forward to today, January 26th, 2021. I quit my full-time job to embark upon my small business journey with my fiancé. I am adjusting to changes with my health that occurred during my last pregnancy. We are helping our son with his remote learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. And we are pursuing our dreams of becoming successful small-business owners.
